Load data

Data can be loaded into AniFit in a number of ways:
1. Through File -> Load 'decay' or 'IRF'.
2. The shortcuts Ctrl+L / I.
3. By pressing the Load 'decay' or 'IRF' buttons from the toolbar.
4. By pressing the '+' button located below each of the data table listboxes.
In this example VV, VH and IRF data is loaded simultaneously using Ctrl+L. Two different data sets are loaded, each consisting of both a VV and VH decay (supplied as column 2 and column 3 in the data file, column 1 being time). The IRF is supplied as a 2-column data file.
1. Press Ctrl+L to open the decay import dialog box.
2. Locate the files. Select multiple data sets by holding down the Shift or Alt key. Press Open.
3. AniFit will try to automatically import and detect the loading settings of the data files (i.e. column separator, number of headerlines, etc.). If successful, the data is loaded directly into the Decays and IRF data listboxes. If not successful, an import dialog box will be opened allowing the user to specify the data format settings:
In particular, make sure that the 'Number of text header lines' is specified correctly. Press Next.
In the final import dialog window a variable named 'data' must be defined in order for AniFit to read the opened data file. Press Finish. In this example, AniFit automatically assigned the IRF to the IRF listbox based on the number of data columns in the loaded data file (2 data columns instead of 3 columns in the VV/VH files).
4. The loaded data sets is displayed in the Decays and IRFs data listboxes. Each decay listed in the Decays listbox contains both the VV, VH, and calculated r(t) data information.
Note that all selected decays and IRFs in the listboxes are automatically plotted in the graph window.
5. In this example the measured G-factor is set to 0.51. See note on how to specify the G-factor for different data sets.
If the VV and VH is defined wrongly by AniFit (i.e. if VV is defined as VH, and VH as VV) the VV and VH definitions can be interchanged by pressing the 'VV<->VH' button below the Decays listbox:
